The Welcoming Board / vacation
« on: July 06, 2014, 02:19:04 pm »
So! I've been brought to North Carolina for two weeks, and I'll be back at home in the Lone Star state on the 20th. Until then, I'm going to be screwing around on the beach like a retarded whale, but I'll get on when I can. Love y'all! Bye~

Desertstar gave a silent huff. What was Paintedstar thinking letting this strange rouge run around without someone keeping an eye on her? Even if she seemed innocent, Sky could just as well been the murdurer for all they knew. Amateurs the prideful leader thought with a scowl. "Would you mind leading us all to the body?" Desertstar asked politely. After all, she didn't want any bad blood in between her and either of the other clans. There was no need for war at the time, and it was her duty as leader to keep the waters smooth.

"Let's look at the bodies first. Solarblast and Lightchaser are wonderful at examining bodies, if you'd let them take care of it. If the bodies match, we will question this Sky and see if she fits the criteria." A cold grin flashed across the lilac tabby point's maw. This was the kind of work she was best at, so long as she was protecting her Clan. No one dumped a body in her canyon. It was quite insulting, and the prideful, arrogant she-cat despised being insulted.

"That's fine. You can go and wake her up, if you'd like." Caelum offered. "I haven't seen her up and at it yet, so perhaps in an hour or so. Until then, you all should eat until your stomachs are bloated! I won't stand for malnutrition in my pack!" The golden haired man said this all with a pleased, protective grin on his face. After all, he was quite fond of his wolves.

"Ours was found at the bottom of the canyon. Due to the lack of blood around her body, we decided that she had been killed and the body dumped over the edge. The killer was discovered to attack from the front and has a dominant left paw. If you both still have the bodies, it would be helpful if we could examine them. If the injuries match the style of the cat who killed the loner on TunnelClan territory, we can deduce that we have a serial killer on our paws." Desertstar stated, brow furrowing. She wasn't too please at this turn of events, after all. "And perhaps we should question this rouge you have taken in? If it was her brother, it's extremely possible that she spotted the killer."

"Well, that's two of the required three," Caelum chuckled. "Perhaps one of the Omegas will accompany you to town." The blonde turned to his Beta with a smile. "Not really," Caelum replied smoothly. "Would you like to go on a hunt or explore with me?" The Alpha hadn't been able to bond with Astin for a while, both of them occupied with duties that hadn't been there before they became the top dogs.

ooc} Haha, see what I did there? Top dogs? They're part canine! Ahaha!

Desertstar's left eye twitched in irritation at the sound of Coalstar's voice. The other female and herself had never really been on friendly ground. Desertstar didn't trust the BoulderClan leader and wasn't fond of her company. "It seems that the murders have occurred close together distance wise. Murders aren't exactly common in a time of peace, and it makes it suspicious. We must consider the possibility of it being the doing of a single cat. The scene of the crime in TunnelClan was clean. The killer was careful to remove all traces of his presence." she replied steadily, mind working a hundred miles an hour.

Other Lands / Re: Why would we need to socialise [seven deadly sins]

A certain seal point sauntered to the designated meeting place, still pleased by her most recent conquest. A random city tomcat had been quite taken with her, so she had taken her night's worth of pleasure...and his life. She left him wailing in agony, skin stripped halfway off his body. Lust wasn't too worried about kittens, as she had proven rather infertile. It would take a miracle to get her pregnant. A lazy, Cheshire grin was worn on her maw as she draped herself atop a boulder warmed by the midday sun. "Dearest Sins," she purred in greeting as she began the ritualistic cleaning of dried blood off her paws. Lust eyed Pelanie, all too aware of the young female that she was training. A rich chuckle followed her words, gaze wandering over to Sarcasm and Decay. A strange pair, they were. But she could ensnare them like a spider in her carefully constructed web of sinful pleasure.

Desertstar strode over the border onto BarnClan's land, stoic and proud. She was furious at the thought of her clan in danger. After all, it was her clan, and no one messed with her stuff. Sure, Desertstar sounded over protective and possessive, but it seemed to come with the job. She continued forward, occasionally scenting the air and shifting her course, heading towards the area where Paintedstar's scent was the strongest. Desertstar smiled stonily when she saw not only Paintedstar, but Coalstar as well. My, my, she thought with a dry chuckle. It seems that we are following in the path of our ancestor clans with a silly Gathering, mistake it may be. Desertstar continued with her purposeful stride, stopping only when she was a yard away from the other leader's. "Forgive us for trespassing," the lilac tabby point purred dangerously, only then acknowledging the two warriors that she assumed were flanking her. "But I was too impatient to wait for a border patrol, and I was waken early by the sounds of fighting. A dead body was left behind. I don't suppose you have any idea who the perpetrator might be?" This early in the search for the killer, Desetstar could't quite yet trust that a member of BarnClan or BoulderClan wasn't responsible for the dead loner. The leader was cranky, tired, and livid that someone might dare kill someone on her land. In Desertstar's mind, it was a declaration of war.

Countryfield stared at Paintedstar, eyes sparkling in admiration. He's so cool! she mentally squealed, but managed to snap back to reality to listen to what he said. "Uh...yeah," Countryfield responded oh-so-intelligently. She cautiously crept up to the body, not wanting to be rude, but also not wanting to damage the lifeless body even more. "Soo...should I just take the scruff or what?" she awkwardly asked the two of them, silently nauseous at the gruesome sight of the body. The earlier discussion had distracted her from the grotesque scene.

Countryfield nodded stubbornly when Sky asked to help with the burial. "I think she has the right," Countryfield told Paintedstar determinedly. Stiffening when she realized the disrespect in her tone, the calico blushed again. "O-Of course, only if you think so! I as a warrior have absolutely no power over what you, the leader, decides. Not to mention that I am totally out of place and I'm exceptionally clumsy and bad at, well, everything, so even if you were a warrior you shouldn't take my word for it. Not that you come across as a warrior! No way! You have a very leader-like disposition and...I'm babbling, sorry," she finished with her head hung low, a cloud of depression hanging over her like a fog.
